Jacob has been on staff at Redeemer since early 2009. He has served as Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor and now as our Lead Pastor. In his role as Lead Pastor, he teaches in our Sunday worship services, guides the administration of the church throughout the week, and provides leadership of our LifeGroup small group ministries.
Jacob is married to Sarah. She is a graduate of SIU-C and works as a Branch Office Administrator for Edward Jones.
Their son, Tobias (age 10), is currently employed as a Fifth Grader and enjoys soccer and legos.
Their older daughter, Felicity (age 6), enjoys horses, having fun outside, and going to the many parks around Carbondale.
Their newest daughter, Mary Hannah (age 0 and not pictured), enjoys drinking milk, screaming, and (occasionally) sleeping.
Marian was born in Obu-Kwahu, Ghana in Western Africa and now lives in Carbondale with her husband (Theo) and their daughter (Nova). She graduated with a Master's Degree in Communication Disorders and Applied Linguistics from SIU-C. She is now a speech-language pathologist at Brehm Preparatory School and came on staff with Redeemer in October 2019.
